Our Roodekop (Germiston) operation is strategically situated in Gauteng, the fastest-growing, wealthiest province in South Africa, and dominant in heavy industry with growth projected in the automotive industry. From this facility both Rosslyn and Silverton, automotive industry hubs, are easily serviced. The Gauteng facility caters for various coil processing and tube manufacturing, including tube heat-treatment and tube straightening services. The speciality division offers processing services of both flat bar and round bar (in lengths and in wire coils) for the automotive, transport, engineering and general industries.
Coil Processing Service Centre
Situated in the industrial hub on the outskirts of the East Rand, our Roodekop processing plant with its state-of-the-art equipment focuses on supplying almost any customer requirement, as well as the most demanding, specialised qualities and non-standard sizes. We offer processing of hot-rolled dry or pickled and oiled, cold-rolled, galvanised, electrogalvanised, and stainless-steel coils into sheets, plates, slits, blanks, guillotined parts, edge dressing, trapezoidal and pressed blanks, de-coiling and re-coiling of steel coils, tube manufacturing, inclusive of tube heat-treatment and tube straightening services.
The facility is IATF 16949 certified and supply most of the original equipment manufacturers and the prominent automotive component manufacturers in the region.
Speciality Steel Division
We are an ISO-listed steel provider to the automotive, engineering, manufacturing, and transport industries. We stock a comprehensive range of carbon, alloy, and spring steel products. As an additional service we offer automated band-sawing, cropping to length, including de-coiling, and peeling of round bar, ultrasonic, hardness and spectrographic testing.
The Eastern Cape branch in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) was opened in 2001. Since then, the branch has seen three major extensions to the facility and now boasts some of the most technologically advanced steel processing equipment in the country.
The 30 000m2 facility offers the full range of automotive steel and steel processing services to its customers. These specialised steel processing services include tool blanking, multi-strand cut-to-length processing, structural part pressing, guillotining and slitting.
Our location, near the Port Elizabeth and Coega ports, eases the importing of increasingly complex grades of automotive steel. The facility is ideally located to service automotive, and component manufacturers in Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage and East London.
We also cater for the general steel industry and process steel on behalf of customers.
We are a preferred and proven supplier of steel solutions, located in the Prospecton (Durban, KwaZulu-Natal) industrial hub near the port and all major original equipment manufacturers.
Our processing capabilities include high tensile cut-to-length processing, guillotining and specialised slitting.
We supply automotive cut-to-length blanks, tubing, slits, specialty steel, and any other steel product required by our customers.
